![]() | First of all Scan the pic into the PC. When scanning I really don't check the DPI of the scan, I just press the button :). Once the scan is in the scanner folder import it to photoshop so you can begin adjusting the levels. Levels are important for a nice clean CG, making it one of the most important steps. Once in photoshop Rezise the pic and zoom in so that you can see the finer lines and have a better view of how the lines look up close. You'll notcie at first that the pic is really gray and dirty. |
![]() | Zoom in further befors adjusting the levels. Under Image you will find the option to adjust the levels. Once the adjuster is open you can be to clean the image up for use as a lineart. |
![]() | Typically I move the adjust one the right end towards the left until it becomes a bit cleaner then I move the other two to darken the lines themselves. Be sure not to give yourself jagged lineart as it can ruin the linearts quality. Smoothe and dark is what the lines should tyr to resemble. |
![]() | There you have it! A nicely smoothe lineart with "relatively" a small amount of dirt. You can clean up any dirt that
doesnt go away with the eraser tool or correct while coloring.
